OFSTED has the legal responsibility to inspect the home to monitor the quality of care offered to children and young people. The monitoring visits are also to ensure that the home is run in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and the Quality Standards.
The Responsible Individual for this home inspects the house, the homes’ records and examines aspects of care practice, staffing and matters relating to the building and equipment. The visit is recorded in a report which is given to the manager to act upon the findings or recommendations. There will also be unannounced visits from Responsible Individual.
