Welcome to

Woodford Children

Woodford Children’s Home is a residential home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). We provide care utilising Integrated Systemic Therapy as developed and implement by Childhood First and the Institute of Integrated Systemic Therapy (iST). We are proud to be the first and only private care provider to be given access to the iST’s training as well as clinical oversight of our weekly psychoanalytic group sessions and monthly management meetings. We support traumatised children and young people aged between 11 -18 years old of either gender with a range of complex needs.

All Woodford Children’s Home (WCH) staff undertake an 18-month training programme in partnership with Childhood First / the iST who are a charity with a long and successful history of achieving Outstanding ratings from Ofsted. This training allows us to provide integrated programmes of care, short term education and offer treatment for children who need it most.

We are what we do

Our organisation exists for one purpose, to make a difference. We aim to make a positive impact on the lives of the children in our care in the hope that they leave our service with the resilience and emotional intelligence to understand their past and not let it determine their future.
